Most of our guests leave saying “the pictures on your website don’t do the place justice.” We were fortunate enough to buy the property from the original owners who bought the property in the 1940’s, when the Mansfield Dam was just being built. In fact, they bought 2,000 acres for 75 cents per acre! Over the years, they sold most of the land to the Balcones Canyonland Preserve, but these were their favorite 10 acres. In order to maintain the gorgeous view of the main basin of Lake Travis, they cut the land to ensure that no one could ever block it. Also, since they sold most of the property to the Preserve, we are surrounded by nature that no one can touch. It is truly paradise.
